Learning from women to create gender inclusive cities

The Gender Inclusive Cities Programme (GICP) considered four cities across the world - Petrozavodsk, Russia, New Delhi, India, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania and Rosario, Argentina - and used various tools and methodologies to understand what goes into creating a gender-inclusive public spaces where men and women have equal rights to the city. This publication analyses the baseline findings of a GICP associated organization in each of these cities. It can be used to compare the cities and countries and thus gain a better perspective on planning inclusive cities that are free from gender-based violence.
